What do the lights mean on my Sleepbuds® ?Updated 3 months ago
Your Smart Case houses both the Smart Case lights and the Sleepbuds light indicators on the inside of the Smart Case. The 5 dot lights on your Smart Case are used to communicate the charging, updating, and streaming states of your Smart Case. The 2 longer lights next to your Sleepbuds indicate the charging and connection status of your Sleepbuds.
The video below is a cheat sheet to see all the light patterns used on your Smart Case and Sleepbud lights.
Smart Case Battery
The 5 dot lights on your Smart Case indicate your charge level when you first open the case. Each dot represents 20% of the battery.
When the Smart Case is fully charged and operating on battery power, you can fully charge the Sleepbuds® additional times. A single charge of the Sleepbuds® allows up to 10 hours of use.
If the Smart Case isn’t connected to power, the lights turn off after five minutes of inactivity.
The battery protection feature conserves the batteries of the Sleepbuds® during long-term storage. The Sleepbuds® switch off once they have fully charged. To wake the Sleepbuds®, close and open the Smart Case lid, wait for both Sleepbuds lights to turn on, and then remove the Sleepbuds® from the Smart Case. We do this intentionally to maximize the longevity of the Sleepbud and Smart Case batteries.
Tip: When your Sleepbuds® are outside the Smart Case, allow up to 8 hours to fully charge the Smart Case. When the Sleepbuds® are inside the Smart Case, the charging time of your Smart Case will vary.
Smart Case Connection
The 5 dot lights on your Smart Case will also indicate your connection status between your Smart Case and your phone or tablet.
When your Smart Case is ready to pair to your phone or tablet, the second and fourth dots will blink.
After your Smart Case has successfully cleared all previously connected devices in its previously paired device list, the first, third, and fifth dots will blink.
When your phone or tablet is streaming to your Smart Case over Bluetooth, the middle dot will blink rapidly.
Sleepbuds Battery
The long lights next to the left and right Sleepbuds are your Sleepbud lights. When the Sleepbuds are correctly placed in the case, they indicate whether your Sleepbuds are charging or fully charged.
The long light next to each Sleepbud will glow softly on and off to indicate that it’s charging.
When your Sleepbud is fully charged, the long light next to that Sleepbud will stay solid.
Sleepbuds Connection
The long lights can also indicate whether your Sleepbuds are asleep, connecting, or connected.
The long light next to each Sleepbud will not turn on if your Sleepbud is still asleep. Please leave the Sleepbud in the case until the Sleepbud light for each of the Sleepbuds turns on.
When you open your Smart Case lid and the Sleepbuds wake up, the long lights will play a pattern of blinking twice and then turn off. This indicates that they are connecting to your Smart Case. It’s best to leave your Sleepbuds in the Smart Case until they connect.
Once connected, your Sleepbud lights will stay solid for a moment while still in the case. It is ok to remove your Sleepbuds once they connect. If you leave the Sleepbuds in the case after they connect, the lights will transition to showing you the battery status or either charged (solid) or charging (softly glowing on and off).
